Why should I get this?

Skip the worst part of an oil change. Instead of jacking up the car and sliding underneath to pull the drain plug, you pump the old oil out through the dipstick tube while standing at the engine bay.

It's simple to run. Clip the red and black clamps to a 12V battery, feed the suction hose down the dipstick tube, run the outlet hose into a container and flip the switch. Hose clamps keep both tubes in place. Allow about 30 minutes, and warm oil flows faster.

Instead of lifting the car and crawling underneath, you work standing up at the engine bay. Slide the suction hose down the dipstick tube, start the pump, and let it draw the oil up into your drain container. When it's done, pull the hose and add fresh oil.

It's a 12V, 80W pump drawing 6.7A, rated at 0.13 GPM, with a 6mm x 1200mm inlet hose and a 12mm x 1500mm outlet hose. Plan on about 30 minutes for a full oil change; warm oil flows faster. Check that the inlet hose fits your dipstick tube, since some tubes are narrower than others.
